Map intelligence

A spatial command view for civic signals, development movement, and future strategic layers.

The SDIN map is evolving into a town-wide spatial intelligence layer. It should eventually make civic issues, schools, projects, opportunities, community nodes, and strategic assets visible in one structured planning view.

This page now follows the new SDIN split. Civic pressure belongs to the reporting and civic pattern side. Development movement belongs to the skills, opportunity, and initiative side. The map is where those layers will increasingly become visible in place.

Top category: WaterCivic + development split activeFuture layers planned

The current view shows where tracked submissions are already clustering geographically.

Over time, this page should evolve beyond issue visibility into a fuller planning layer for schools, projects, opportunities, civic pressure, and strategic assets.

Future map layers

The map is being shaped for a richer multi-layer town view.

Some layers are still conceptual or partial, but the wording and structure now reflect the future direction of SDIN spatial intelligence.

Civic issues

Live foundation

The map already begins to reflect service pressure through water, electricity, roads, safety, and community reporting signals.

Schools

Planned layer

School-linked visibility will support youth development planning, education partnerships, and area-based opportunity mapping.

Projects

Planned layer

This layer will surface active initiatives, local programs, and structured development work that should be visible spatially.

Opportunities

Emerging layer

Opportunity mapping will eventually show where pathways, talent demand, mentor support, and development readiness are clustering.

Community nodes

Planned layer

Community nodes will help identify civic anchors, gathering points, local institutions, and neighbourhood-level connection points.

Strategic assets

Live foundation

Strategic assets already begin with area profiles and can later expand into industrial anchors, schools, public assets, and long-range growth zones.

Highest concentration areas

These are the areas currently showing the strongest activity under the active map filter.

Strategic assets by area

These area profiles help frame the town not only through pressure points, but also through capability, anchors, and long-range development importance.

Strategic role

The map should help Secunda see where attention, action, and future development belong.

This page is no longer only an issue map. It is becoming a shared spatial layer for civic pressure, school-linked visibility, projects, opportunities, community nodes, and strategic assets.

As SDIN matures, this map can help leadership see where service problems are clustering, where development potential is forming, where initiatives belong, and where local capability should be activated.
